What is Genius Buddy and how does the bonus work

Genius Buddy (formerly BuddyBank) is a mobile account offered by Unicredit, fully manageable via app and with no fixed costs.

Registration is free, and by using a promotional code, you can get €50 in cash after making a minimum purchase of €10 with the debit card.

Additionally, for every friend you invite who opens an account and completes a qualifying purchase, you receive another €50, up to a maximum of €500 (10 invites).

Main requirements

Bonus valid until September 30, 2025.

You must deposit at least €10 via bank transfer after opening the account.

To receive the welcome bonus, you must complete a purchase of at least €10 with the MyOne virtual card within 30 days.

Identity verification (KYC) is required with documents such as an ID card, driver's license, or passport.

The physical card has a one-time cost of €7, but the virtual version is completely free.

The bonus is credited within 90 days of the transaction and is fully withdrawable.

Former BuddyBank customers and Unicredit employees who already held banking products as of 09/16/2024 cannot participate.

Step-by-step guide

1. Download the Genius Buddy app and start the registration by selecting the classic account opening option (avoid SPID or CIEid).

2. Enter the promotional code you find at the top of the page.

3. Verify your personal data, upload the required documents (front and back), and complete the procedure (including contract signing).

4. When choosing the card, select only the **virtual MyOne version** to avoid extra costs.

5. Wait for the account and virtual card activation (within about 48 hours), then deposit at least €10 via bank transfer (recommended from accounts like Revolut for speed and zero costs).

6. Once the card is activated, make an online or in-store purchase of at least €10 with Google Pay, Apple Pay, physical POS, or e-commerce.

⚠️ Recharges, transfers, or fund movements between accounts are not valid.

💡 If you don't know what to buy, you can recharge Amazon, buy coins on TikTok, or make a small purchase from the app store.

7. The bonus will be credited directly to your account within 90 business days.
