What is American Express and how the bonus works

• The Referred Friend receives a welcome bonus points offer tailored to the requested Card upon reaching a minimum spending threshold within the first 6 months from issuance.
• The Referrer receives a fixed points bonus for each friend who completes registration and gets Card approval.
• Points are credited directly to the loyalty account (Membership Rewards® or PAYBACK) within 10 weeks of Card approval.

Main Requirements

• Cardmember Status: The Referrer must be a Basic Cardmember of an eligible Personal or Business Card.
• New Customers: The Referred Friend must not have held an American Express Card enrolled in the same loyalty program within the last 12 months.
• Invitation Type: Personal Cardmembers can invite for both Personal and Business Cards. Business Cardmembers can only invite for Business Cards.
• Spending Threshold: The Referred Friend must meet the minimum spending requirement with the new Card within 6 months of issuance.

1. For the Referred Friend (Welcome Reward)

• Business Platinum Card: 210,000 bonus points by spending €15,000 within 6 months
• Platinum Card: 180,000 points by spending €12,000 within 6 months
• Business Gold Card: 45,000 points by spending €8,000 within 6 months
• Gold Card: 35,000 points by spending €4,000 within 6 months
• Business Card: 10,000 points by spending €2,000 within 6 months
• Green Card: 10,000 points by spending €1,000 within 6 months
• Italo Card: 8,000 points by spending €1,000 within 6 months
• Explora Card: 2,000 points by spending €1,000 within 6 months
• PAYBACK Plus Card: 2,000 points by spending €1,000 within 6 months
• PAYBACK Card: 1,000 points by spending €1,000 within 6 months

2. For the Referrer Cardmember

• Business Platinum Card: 100,000 points for each approved referral
• Platinum Card: 75,000 points for each approved referral
• Business Gold Card: 50,000 points for each approved referral
• Gold Card / Gold Credit Card: 20,000 points for each approved referral
• Green Card / Business Card: 10,000 points for each approved referral
• Italo Card: 5,000 points for each approved referral
• Explora / PAYBACK / PAYBACK Plus Card: 1,000 points for each approved referral

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Click the Personal Link shared by the Referrer to access the offer page.
2. Choose the Card: You can select the recommended Card or another available model on the page.
3. Complete the Application: Enter your personal information and required documents for credit worthiness evaluation by American Express.
4. Reach the Spend Target: Once the Card is approved and issued, complete the minimum required total spending for your model within 6 months.
5. Receive the Bonus: The points will be credited to your Membership Rewards® or PAYBACK account within 10 weeks.
